Clockwork Orange: Mido Oean Star Caliber 80 Titanium

At the Baselworld 2017, Mido presented a new Ocean Star Titanium. A sporty, robust watch with a special comfort: the new Ocean Star Caliber 80 Titanium is extremely lightweight, robust and very comfortable to wear thanks to its titanium hanger.

The new model presented at the Baselworld 2017 has good arguments to impress the lovers of underwater adventures. Its titanium casing and rubber strap provide an amazing lightness. And dive fans can rely on their water-tightness, their unidirectional rotating bezel, and the buckle strap, which is also made of titanium and has a band-extension for diving up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m / 660 ft).

A few Mido-typical color accents in orange on bracelet, dial and bezel underline the sporty temperament of the watch. The OceanStar Caliber 80 Titanium is equipped with the caliber 80, a state-of-the-art automatic movement that provides you with up to 80 hours of gear reserve.

It has the mido colors and is equipped with a housing made of satined and polished titanium. Titanium is a metal that is known for its hypoallergenic properties and is lighter and more resistant than stainless steel. The orange-colored rubber strap has a folding clasp, which is also made of titanium and has a belt extension for dipping. This makes the Oceanstar Caliber 80 Titanium an extremely light model with maximum comfort. In addition, its amazing water tightness up to a pressure of 20 bar (200 m / 660 ft) together with the other characteristics will convince all dive fans unreservedly.

For absolute safety, the grained anthracite dial is complemented by a uni-directional bezel with anthracite-colored, sand-blasted aluminum ring, which is used to measure the dive time. The ring is equipped with a white Super LumiNova® point at 12 o'clock. The white Super-LumiNova® coating is also found on the indexes and hour and minute pointers, thus ensuring optimum readability even under water and at night. The tip of the seconds hand is lined with orange Super-LumiNova®.

Mido Ocean Star Titanium

In the robust 42.5mm housing of the Oceanstar Caliber 80 Titanium, the caliber 80 works: an automatic generation of the latest generation, which has an excellent autonomy with a gear reserve of up to 80 hours.

The dial is protected by anti-reflective sapphire glass on both sides. The watch has a date window that displays the day and date at 3 o'clock. A few Mido-typical color accents in orange on the dial, the bezel and the tip of the seconds hand as well as on the watch strap underline the sporty temperament of the Oceanstar Caliber 80 Titanium. The bottom of the case is decorated with a starfish, the symbol of the Ocean Star collection - an additional detail that will definitely enchant all adventurers with a taste for the great depths of the sea.
